Sharon Critchfield – eCommerce and service portfolio author blogger website with social media and email marketing

Sharon Critchfield – Author, Blogger, Reiki Master

Sharon initially came to us with a request to help build her presence on Google, she was getting no new subscribers, no customers to her store, and almost no comments to her blog!  We discovered that her website was “invisible” to Google, her original designer had a “no-index” tag in the robots.txt file, telling Google (and other Search Engines) not to crawl the site.  So we first turned the site on to Google, and then began a complete makeover for the website.  There were many other “functional” problems with the website, the e-store was not set up properly (improper implementation of PayPal gateway), there were no “contact forms”, and Sharon was essentially using the “comment section” of her posts to try and connect with her clients and followers.  She also did not have a good integration with MailChimp, her designer had told her that an RSS feed could not be built into the site, and there for she could not use automatic RSS campaigns.  From a design standpoint, content was poorly organized and page layout was NOT optimized to best make use of the best real estate (the Home Page) on the website.  Also, image processing had not been done at all, so very large images (unnecessary) slowed the website down terribly.

We will be doing a “case study” on this website transformation, so check back soon for further details.
